Welcome to our Young Herbalists Academy. This little group is about helping children connect back with themselves and nature. Learning about the traditional medicinal use of plants and fun projects we can do together to help foster that connection.
The class’s are aimed at ages 8-12.
Please note we are having a wee holiday Jan and Feb 2021 and will be back in March. When we are hoping we will be able to offer not just online but in person workshops too.
Fees
Monthly membership is 75 per month, including 1 online workshop per month and mini apothecary ingredients sent to you. We are hoping in the future to do some of these in our little garden once restrictions ease, and it is safe to do so. The online option will always remain open.
You can purchase these individually per month at this stage.
We will from March be offering bundles and memberships.
The group is run by myself Donelle Crocker, or Nellie, Maddie Acosta and Sisu the cat.
Im Nellie and I have been a herbalist since I was little girl, on the East Coast of New Zealand spent a lot of time with Nanny Erina and Papa Irimana whose knowledge and connection with/of traditional medicines from herbs and plants was amazing this instilled the grounding appreciation and love that comes from true connection to nature, our land and each other. At the heart of holistic medicine is connection, conection to our earth, to each other and to our selves. I was lucky enough to be gifted that and now want to pass it on. As an adult I went on to study Herbalism and naturopathy and wish to share this passion and joy with you.
